Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to join our quickly growing team at the ground level and manage a dynamic group of creatives and vendors focused on high-level visual storytelling in both short films and still photography. There is big room to build and grow.

This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Rachid Stills + Motion, both in the studio and on production. It is a multi-faceted role that blends many administrative responsibilities executed in the office with forward facing production responsibilities out in the field. This role reports directly to Owner/Director Rachid Dahnoun.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Operations

Manage new and existing client relationships
Oversee a small team of passionate creative contractors and internal internship program
Create job estimates, invoice clients, and manage/actualize budgets
Administer contracts and payments to vendors and independent contractors
Direct communication with bookkeeping and accounting team
Execute marketing and social media efforts: email, posting, calendar, and engagement
Manage Fine Art Print business and field print orders and requests
Oversee existing sponsor relationships (Manfrotto, Lowepro, Drobo)
Manage stock archive and content requests for placement in national and international markets
Maintain operational workflow specific to digital archive and online portfolio

Production Responsibilities

Remote production: small footprint video/photo shoots that do not require an on-site producer
On-site production: large footprint video/photo shoots that do require an on-site producer
Create production books, build shoot schedules, coordinate with vendors, oversee talent casting, obtain permits, and organize meals/craft services for all productions

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

2-3 days per week working on-site in Bodega Bay, CA at the Rachid Stills + Motion main studio
Occasional travel with Rachid to public speaking engagements at industry trade shows and events
Occasional travel with Rachid to gallery openings for Fine Art Print exhibitions

Qualifications

A deep love of visual storytelling
3+ years experience as a line producer/producer or production manager
3+ years experience with budgeting, scheduling, and cost reports
Deep understanding of working with clients and meeting brand objectives
Strong knowledge of production logistics and workflow, industry technology, rights issues, and current industry standard practices
Experience working on scripted and non-scripted productions
Proven ability to solve problems and interact with a wide variety of personalities
Strong customer service, consultative and partnering skills
A self-starter with the ability to prioritize among multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational, verbal, and writing skills
Strong understanding of social media
Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite of applications
Positive attitude, friendly, fun, hardworking, courteous, and accessible
